My husband and I are both in vulnerable groups and are both self-isolating from today. We are also both comprehensive school teachers and need to work from home.
The problem is that we do not have computers that are not fully compatible with the school system as we have Macs not PCs. I know this is a big ask, but I was wondering if anyone had a spare PC laptop they could lend us.
We live on Warham Road.

I have a laptop which I can let you have this evening if you still need it.
Thanks Stephen! Sorry I didn't get back to your kind offer earlier- it's been pretty manic over the last few days trying to moderate all the coursework and put other systems in place before the schools close today. I will DM you.
Thanks! Am going to see if the laptop Stephen offered works out first though...
Hi there,
You should be able to use Boot Camp to run Windows 10 on a Mac in a virtualisation. For details, please see this site https://support.apple.com/en-gb/boot-camp
You will have to buy a Windows 10 license.
I use VirtualBox to run Windows on my Mac but yes, you need to buy Windows. When you buy a PC, the price of windows is "included".
thanks- I have Parallels desktop to run Windows on my Mac, but for various technical reasons that our IT manager patiently explained to me and that I didn't understand, it has to be a PC.
