Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I want to get new contents insurance for my council accommodation but I needed to find out when my home was built. I'm in the council accommodation next to west green primary.....anyone have a clue? The council weren't very helpful when I rang earlier.

Samantha, Geoff has very diligently follows up and found answewr to your question. He wrote the following:

I did a quick search for Culross Road on the planning app, and it has come up with an application from 1971 for ‘Erection of residential development comprising 1 & 2 dwellings with 152 garages & 48 car park spaces.’ There is also an entry for July 1975 for ‘Provision of landscaping and the laying of footpaths under phase II environmental improvements.’ So that means it was completed around 1975.

Following Geoff's research about the 20th century redevelopment of the Stanley Road and Culross Road area (see above), I renamed this post as "Origins of Stanley, Albany and Culross Roads".

I added the following explanation within the original post.

I've hijacked this post since the original poster has had an answer to their question. I thought it might be useful to change to title to make it easier for someone to find this information in the future.

I have now reverted to the original post, closed it and, following John's request above, added a deeper look at the development roads here.
