Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Congratulations on your new Miele vacuum -- did you have to fly tip?

I guess someone on Duckett Road got a new Miele vacuum cleaner. Congratulations! But did you have to fly tip the box on the pavement in front of my house.

Yes, we still have a skip in front of the house (our renovation was delayed 5 months by windows that were promised to us in 8 weeks, but that's another rant), but is that an excuse?

It's interesting psychology to me that these particular people put their junk *beside* the skip. I mean, these things cost £300 a pop, so I guess the world is divided into 3 types of people: 1) those who recognize that someone paid £300 to dispose of waste responsibly and respect that 2) those who just don't care and toss their stuff in too and 3) those who seem to be aware that it's 'bad' to put things in a skip someone else has paid for, so instead put their junk *next* to the skip, thus leaving it to homeowner to clean up.

The 3rd kind is probably the most annoying.

OK, rant over.

Types 1) and 4) are fine in my books.

OK, more fly tipping.  I think the top 3rd of this skip is now other people's stuff (we've paused to paint for last week and haven't produced much waste).

This time is a bit easier to finger the culprit:

It's a 3 bed flat sold!   A quick Zoopla shows the likely culprits are either:

or

Guys, can you please dispose of your junk yourselves, or at least ask and offer to pay a fiver or something?

Cheers,

Michael

Has the dumping been during the day or at night? If the latter, you know you're legally supposed to cover over your skip?

I don't know if it was day or night.  I had no idea about the legal requirement to cover a skip in anything other than transit.  I did a quick Google but my Google skills were weak.  Can you point me to the relevant legislation?

Failing to cover your skip doesn't give others the right to dump their stuff in it!
