27 volumes.Very good copies in the original gilt-blocked cloth. Spine bands and panel edges slightly dulled and rubbed as with age. Bumped. Hardcover has red cloth-covered boards with gold spine and cover lettering and decorations. Spine has gold thistle flower pattern in three sections; front cover has gold ruled border. Top page edges gilt. Deckle fore and bottom edges. Black & white frontispiece has tissue guard.
