Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

For the first time since it started, London’s CircusFest will be expanding beyond Camden’s Roundhouse and coming north to Haringey. As part of this year's festival, Jacksons Lane in Highgate will be hosting shows during the five-week festival (March 28- April 29).

CircusFest 2012 involves a "jaw-dropping display of contemporary circus, with an exciting selection of world and UK premieres alongside irresistible new commissions" it includes a variety of works described as ranging from “the weird and the whimsical, to high-energy displays of acrobatic prowess defying logic and gravity… CircusFest is a festival to amaze, astound and capture the imagination.”

Jacksons Lane will be hosting Stumble DanceCircus’s Box of Frogs (3-5 April), a “bipolar circus of extremes” that combines daring circus skills with film, live music and colour. The project has been commissioned by the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad projected Unlimited. So & So Theatre present Backgammon for Beginners (18-21 April), about a suitcase, a complicated past and a love of backgammon. Based on the true story of an Iranian man in London in the 1970s, this funny and touching show features edge of seat acrobatics.

From March 13- April 29, there is also a photographic exhibition in the Jackson's Lane foyer, featuring images of young circus performers by Ben Hopper.
