Christmas tree appeal - for presents for disadvantaged children in Tottenham

I am a member of the Borough Commander's Independent Advisory Group and today received the following message from his team which I thought I should share here in case anyone feels like contributing:

Last year the Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe launched the Christmas Tree Appeal. This was run on five London boroughs. More than 1000 children in care in the boroughs of Westminster, Camden, Southwark, Lambeth and Hammersmith & Fulham received presents from the appeal.

Following on from this success, this year the Christmas Tree Appeal, will roll out to each of the 32 boroughs to aim to provide Christmas presents to children across London.

How it works:

Working in partnership with the charity, Hope in Tottenham, we have identified around 200 children who are not so fortunate as others and may not be receiving much this Christmas.

To support the Haringey Christmas Tree Campaign and contribute a present, email:
YRMailbox-.ChristmasTreeCampaign@met.pnn.police.uk

You will then be allocated a child to buy a voucher or present for. Age range between 0 -11. Maximum spend of £20.

Please do not wrap the presents as they will all need to be scanned and wrapped before distribution. We will notify you by email with instructions as to where to take your present.
