For many of the last 19 years, Union Church in Weston Park, Crouch End has provided a 3-course Christmas Lunch and an afternoon party for people who would otherwise be on their own on that special day and who live in the locality of the church. In the Covid years, the church could only manage to deliver hot meals and gifts on Christmas Day to people who had said that they needed them.

They would be needed to come to the church mid-morning on that day to help peel the fruit and vegetables or wrap the gifts.
On Christmas Day, everyone involved with the lunch and party in any way is invited to join in the Service for Christmas Day which will begin at 10.30am. Following this, hot drinks and biscuits are served whilst the tables for lunch are prepared. A few volunteers will be needed to help serve the food to the guests, wash and clear up afterwards and a variety of other small tasks.
If you think that you would like to come along as a guest or volunteer on either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, please call Union Church on 020 8341 3918 and leave a message if there is no one in the office. Alternatively you can email Margaret.hervie@unionccc.org.uk, leaving your details. All are welcome.
