Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Recently, a post here cast unevidenced aspersions on Chinese medicine. I would like to echo my wife's recent experience. She has been a little unwell, feeling low, working too much over a hot laptop, stiff shoulders and stress. A friend recommended the Chinese Herbal and Acupuncture Centre on Green Lanes(also Stroud Green I believe) She got the most beneficial massage, pretty vigorous by all accounts and has been smiling and full of beans ever since! The proof of the pudding........

Slightly OT - it makes me spit when I see advertisments for products that are  " Clinically-Proven " What clinic ? When? Pharmaceutical company or independent ? Independently verified ?

Cynically-proven to generate profit, maybe.

This is my all-time favourite medical condition treated by magic claim - in this case the delightful UCKG and magic oil. Enjoy.

PS I won the Advertising Standards complaint.

I had some acupuncture, funny enough, it felt like I was lying down with pins in me. Did nothing. Cost me lots.

Dont know about the theory, but it did once work for me in spectacular fashion. Why should sticking a pin between my third and fourth fingers dislodge a great lump of yuk in my throat? No idea, all I saw was that after weeks of waiting for it to go away, it all poured out in a few minutes. The sticking of the pin was painful, unlike all the other tries, and it sent what felt like an electric shock up my arm. You can't get more anti-woo than me, but this was evidence for me that there is something beyond magic and placebo with acupuncture.
