Chinese Medicine on Green Lanes
Hello, has anyone been to the Chinese Medicine place on Green Lanes? I have some persistent problems that my GP can't identify, and I think would be helped by acupuncture and/or massage. I went in there and they seemed professional and friendly, and quite reasonably priced. But I'm new to this kind of treatment and would be more comfortable if I knew others had tried it. Anyone? Thanks.

Yes, I had several sessions there over three years ago. Treated for lower back, leg and foot transferred pain with good results, at least for some months. Fact is, since I needed a hip replacement at the time, the combination of acupuncture, massage and lamp & plaster treatment wasn't going to cure that! I'd certainly recommend them and, as you say, both doctor and reception are friendly and professional.

I've recently had acupuncture, massage and herbal treatments from Golden Health and I've been really impressed with how they've helped a couple of problems I've had. I'd never used Chinese medicine before, but heard some good things about how it can help people with such illness' as migraines, stress and anxiety.
I signed-up for a 6-week course of treatment (herbal pills, tea, acupuncture and massage) and have felt a lot better. The best advice I received is you have to be prepared to commit to a "programme" of treatment to ensure you give yourself the best chance of it taking positive effect.
Unfortunately I forget the name of the Dr I see there, but both male and female doctors are very helpful and friendly. The male doctor's English isn't so good, but the female doctor has always been on hand when I've visited to help out and explain anything which isn't so clear with regard to treatment.

Thanks both. I went for my first treatment today. It took me a little while to feel comfortable and confident that the Dr understood me (it's true the male doctor's English isn't great, but there was a nice young woman there to translate). But they're very professional and the place is spotless, and I soon felt much more at ease. I had acupuncture and massage and I'm feeling much better, though I was much more spaced out afterward than I expected.
Anyway thanks for your experiences!
