I am removing 2 chimney breasts from a third floor flat, so I need a tradesman to do the job.
Have got the structural engineer's plans, party wall agreements and everything in place, and ready to go. Just want a builder who's done this before.
Any recommendations please?
Thanks a lot,
Brian

Back in 2015, we did up a newly acquired rental property. The chimney had been removed from the ground floor and since the apparently small risk of collapse wasn't going to be borne by us, the chimney above it needed making safe.
We already had builders engaged on site. But we got specialist company Hylton Chimneys in to insert a steel beam that spanned the length of the back addition. Once it was in place, our builders removed the chimney breast beneath it.
The work got the required building control certificate and five years on, everything is still standing!
Thanks Hugh. Much appreciated.

Hi Brian,
looking for a structural engineer for a similar project. Would you recommend the one you used? If so, could you please pass on their details? Many thanks.
HI Elisa, I used Kemal https://ekaengineers.co.uk/team-member/kemalerturk/
Hi which builder did you go with to do the work? Many thanks assume Kemal was the engineer only. Many thanks
