Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Free school meals and the lack of them in school holidays has been a major news story during the last week. Locally, new services have been set up and others have stepped up (see north London map as developed by Haringey Food Network of the different food / COVID support services  at https://tiny.cc/NLC19Map -  just copy into the browser.

At the Gospel Centre we are carrying out a survey of their parents / carers to find out about how we can develop what we can offer as a food bank to children. We mange to obtain fresh vegetables and bread where we can to give out, but our facilities and resources to store are more limited in this area.

The Food Network which I have mentioned is currently looking for a longer term large store area, which can be used for non-perishable and fresh food storage. Please email me if you now of a suitable large space at gospelcfoodbank@gmail.com

We are fairly wells stocked at present, though would especially gladly accept donations of standard size packet rice, tinned soup, juice, baked beans, jams and washing materials.

Hello, we have a spare microwave, would it be of use to the foodbank? We can come drop it off. Also, do you take standing order donations? Thanks.

Hello Cecilia,

We would take standing order donations. If you could drop a line to the food bank email address at gospelcfoodbank@gmail.com I will reply with the details.

We are not in need of a microwave, but thank you for the offer.

Many thanks,
