Chance to join our team of Repair Cafe volunteers

We, Haringey Fixers, are a group of people who could really use your help. If you care about sustainability, rescuing stuff that would otherwise be thrown away and enjoy helping others then this might be perfect for you.

What We Do:

We organise Repair Cafes throughout Haringey - community events where local people help each other mend\fix household goods, toys, textiles and gadgets.

Why Volunteer With Us:

• Make a difference: Help reduce waste, save people money and thus promote a repair and reuse culture, helping save our precious planet one item at a time.
• Learn\swap skills: If you want to learn or help others learn we use a collaborative approach which means you already have the ‘troubleshooting skills we apply to fix\mend stuff..
• Connect with friends and neighbours: become part of a supportive and vibrant team of like-minded people who share your interest in repair and reuse and want to have a nice time doing it.

How You Can Help:

• Repairer\fixer\mender: If you have an inkling for repairing gadgets, small appliances, furniture, or other household items we want you. You don’t actually need any previous experience as we ‘troubleshoot’ problems but if you have skills to share, you can help us maintain our track record in repairing\fixing\mending around two thirds of what is brought in.
• Event Support: Not wanting to be a repairer? No problem! We also need volunteers to help with event setup, registration, hospitality, and more. Even if you only make the tea\coffee you’ll be helping :)
• Spread the Word: Even if you can't volunteer at our events, you can still help by spreading the word to friends, family, and neighbours who might be interested in joining us.
