The pressure keeps going on my boiler, and having ruled out all the easy to fix options it's looking like there is a leak somewhere in the pipe. It is not evident where this is so unfortunately it may be behind a wall or somewhere that's going to be a pain to get to. Typically the buildings insurance our flat's managing agents have doesn't cover trace and access to find the problem!

Landlords are contractually obliged to maintain your heating system. Whether or not their insurance covers it is irrelevant.
Thanks Phillip - sorry I didn’t explain myself properly, I own the flat but not the Freehold. Paying for repairs is my responsibility but unfortunately us leaseholders just get lumped with the insurers the leaseholder’s managing agents get the best kickback from
Hi Bettty - I take it you've had a plumber check and it definitely not a problem with the boiler - expansion vessel or pressure release valve? And the pressure drops even when the boiler is kept off? I'll have a chat with my plumber, I'm sure he can recommend someone.
Thanks - yes unfortunately since the boiler is well within guarantee it doesn’t seem to be anything to do with that, so it’s looking like it must be a leak in the pipes somewhere
Hi Betty
It's worth checking the pressure relief outlet which is the small copper pipe that runs from the boiler to the outside of the property - a good way of doing this is to attach a small plastic bag over the end of the pipe and check after a day or so whether there is any water. If there is none then your suspicions that it's an internal leak is probably correct. I can recommend a good female gas plumber if required. Good luck.
