Cat Found on Hampden Road - Black boy/tomcat, no collar, not neutered

A cat has been coming to our garden all day, every day for the last few days. We're not sure if he's lost or abandoned, or needs a home.

He looks healthy, clean, a good weight, but has no collar and is un-neutered, so we're not sure if he has an owner. We gave him some water today and he seemed very thirsty, which has made us more concerned.

We live on Hampden Road above the passage (towards Wightman). 

He is constantly trying to get into our house (!) and we're not sure what do with him.

Please can you share this on your street groups, particularly if you live around the north end of the ladder/turnpike lane?
