The reason I’m posting this, is because it looks very like the cat that was hanging around here, and in my house, although a bit battered

Ah, there are posters all around the Etherley Road/Cranleigh Road/Conway Road/Rowley Road area for a lost tabby with a white bib. Might be a match? Sorry, I can't get to a poster today  but details for the cat and contact details are given.

Don't think it's the same cat! Managed to get out and snap the poster stuffed into a tree cage.
