Cash for Syria Medical Convoy Raised at North Harringay School Event

An event at North Harringay School last weekend raised cash for medical aid desperately needed in Syria.

A fund raising event at North Harringay school last Sunday saw the school hall packed with families wanting to help charity Hand in Hand for Syria raise money for badly needed medical supplies. 

With the work of the counting house now done, the event organisers were thrilled to have added £1,740 to the charity's coffers. School Site Manager Matt Burge who worked through Sunday to enable the event to take place told Harringay Online, "We were really pleased with how the event went and the amount we raised. As well as food and other stalls which helped, we had some great entertainment. I loved Nizar Al Issa, who was kind enough to come along and play the oud".

Matt added, "Thanks are due to the great work of the school, its staff, the parents and the wider community who enabled the event to work so successfully".
