Car Mechanic - any recommendations?

Hi,
Wonder if anyone could recommend any car mechanics in the area. There are plenty around - but Im sure not all are great.

Some time ago I was quoted a huge amount for a new clutch, which I couldn't afford. A constituent recommended a local garage (FRANKLIN MOTORS Iif I remember right) on Seven Sisters Rd (about 200 yards from the bridge on the junction with St Ann's Rd, on the right hand side as you go towards Tottenham), which is run the last 10 years orso by a Bulgarian called Ruman (allegedly ... acousin of Berbatov if you are a football fan!!). He quoted me less than half of what I was quoted elsewhere and, despite my initial trepidation, I put the car in and he did an excellent job and on time. I've used him since and never had any problems - he always seem to be finding ways of repairing things rather than just replacing them and generally doing things the most economical way (the way they used to!!). I have also since discovered a couple of local low income pensioners in my ward who tell me that he aften does little repairs for them for free or charging whatever they can afford for bigger jobs. I would certainly recommend trying him out.

Another reliable one is Frank of AtoB Motors on West Green Rd (next to the Fountain pub) who has been there some 28 years. Although a smaller garage this one, he is very good with MOTs and smaller jobs - again I have used his garage numerous times over the years and never had any problems with either quality of work, price or finishing jobs on time.
