Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi all

Just wanted to say that my car was broken into on Burgoyne Road recently.

It looks like they shoved a screw driver or drill just below the lock through the door to open it.

I'm not sure why they targeted just my car. No other cars on the road seem to be affected.

Beware!

Just had to reply when I read how the police need people to report incidents of cars being broken into, my daughters car was broken into at the end of july at 7.30am on a Saturday morning, the person continued with the break-in even as my neighbour across the road was screaming at him to stop from his bedroom window, my neighbour and my husband gave chase on foot and car and actually apprehended him in a shop in Philip Lane and called the police to arrest him, good so far isn't it but this is where it all goes terribly wrong, the shopkeeper took it upon himself to lead the thief out the back of the shop where he promptly made his escape (must've been a good customer), then the police turn up and drive around the streets but surprise surprise couldn't find him, not to worry we thought the shop has cctv and the police said they would be demanding the tape, bearing in mind that this breakin took place on a Saturday morning we could not believe it when a letter arrived the following Friday (less than a week) informing us that due to a lack of evidence the case was now closed, I leave you to draw your own conclusions, because we were to put it mildly, gobsmacked.
Yes I reported it today so perhaps it hasn't come through to you yet.
Many thanks
Sally
