Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

So this plate was found in my grandmothers house when she purchased her property almost 50 years ago! It's really nice and interesting, there are no makers marks on it or anything... I was wondering if anyone knows any information about this plate? possibly a name or style so I can research it. I know it's fairly old and was wondering what it's value is. I have attached some pictures! Thanks

Just to add the pattern is not painted on it's embossed and if you feel it you will notice it's raised

Looks very much like plates etc that we bought in the 60s. We had a cheese board and still have a salt cellar.

I'll try to dig up a picture for you.

Great! Thanks... Possibly not the rare item I thought it may be haha

This is green "Totem" designed by Susan Williams Ellis as part of her Portmeirion pottery range. She was the daughter of Clough Williams Ellis who was responsible for the wonderland that is Portmeirion. There is a lot Totem about and it is available in various colours. Totem is a fantastic 60s range IMHO, very collectable and can be used as it's fairly easy to replace.

Wow, Looks pretty much spot on! Thanks a lot for this. Perhaps not the ultra rare item I though it may have been but still a very nice piece. I can carry on eating my dinner from it haha.

Thanks again Laura
