Can anyone recommend a wood supplier near wood green. .
Need to have some wood cut to size.

I didn't manage to reply in time to warn against Wood Green but at least they had the courtesy to tell you..... I had a bad bounce with them just over a year ago when I took in measurements for various lengths of wood I needed for some DIY bookshelves, all measured to the nearest centimetre in attempt to fit our wonky alcove as well as possible! I had a long conversation with them, paid and left it with them and then when the wood was delivered it wasn't cut straight and some was way out on length. I phoned them up and all they could say was that they can't cut to such specific lengths and are not really a DIY place. I don't know how many times I told the guy that that was fine but he should have told me in advance, it wasn't as though I hadn't explained what I wanted. The conversation went nowhere and I ended up getting the wood cut properly by a local carpenter/joiner.
We used to use Goodwoods near Archway but that has gone.... I have used Thomersons more recently and they couldn't have been more helpful.
I certainly won't be using Wood Green again for anything.
