Digitally savvy man of the people Alan Stanton today struck out on behalf of besieged residents of Haringey in a bid to secure less batter and more bread in local reporting.
"There's no excuse for using stock phrases with short words which fit a headline or across a tabloid page.", raged Stanton.
In a thinly disguised swipe at the harassed reporters on the councillor clubbed Tottenham Journal, Stanton added, "This is the sort of thing written by a journalists on the websites which are trying to substitute for the dead or dying local newspapers."
Your hard pressed HoL reporter commented, "We at HoL Enterprises welcome Alan's savvy strike for the common man and forgive his eagle-eyed swipe at my shoddy sentence. Harringay needs more caped crusaders to defend the scandalous onslaught on our language. I made my bid for Harringay lexical nirvana. I stand ready to give our caped crusader all the support he needs".
HoL has as yet been unable to contact the hard pressed TJ team for comment.
