Calling DIY or pro plumbers....a little help with mixer hose?
I am trying to change the pull out hose on my pull out kitchen mixer tap. There is no brand name. Should be an easy job but I can't figure how to disconnect the existing hose. As the picture shows, it seems to have a screw in/quick connect joint with a sliding steel sleeve with cutout section. I don't want to force anything and have tried to unscrew with a pipe pliers but without putting too much force as I could **** it up. Any ideas chums?

Not seen one of these before but I expect it's relatively simple - looks like it might need compressing together and turning ie push the brass section into the chrome section with cut out and turn - I hope this makes sense. Alternatively take the pic to a plumbers merchant eg the one on West Green Rd near top of black boy lane and ask them on basis it needs to come off before you can purchase a new one! Good luck and let us know how it goes.
