This is just a warning to parents that if you call a cab that offers you a baby seat, do check they've actually attached it to the car.
I got one yesterday from http://www.harringaycars.com/ by the Salisbury and in typical mini-cab fashion, when he braked sharply, the whole seat flung forward and banged into the drivers seat.
Baby unharmed but the driver was sulky and unrepentant, saying it wasn't his child and it was his boss's fault.
I rang the boss, who was very apologetic and offered me a free cab next time and said he'd definitely have words with the driver.
I should have checked but it just didn't occur to me that the seat would not be attached.
Their website says they are "Reliable, safe, efficinet (sic)" but I rather disagree.

I've invited the boss to comment. Here he is on Winkball.
Thanks Hugh. I do reiterate that the boss was extremely apologetic and very concerned about the incident. He was also keen to make sure his driver understood how stupid he'd been and assure me that passenger safety was their main concern. He just needs to make sure his drivers know this.
