Are you are interested in wildlife, or would you just like to spend some more time outdoors this summer?
We are looking for volunteers to carry out butterfly surveys at Railway Fields nature reserve.
This involves visiting Railway Fields and walking a set route, recording the number and type of butterflies you see along the way.
It is a particularly enjoyable task because the surveys have to be carried out when the butterflies are active, ie in nice, dry weather! It's a lovely way to enjoy the tranquility of Railway Fields and learn a bit more about the wildlife there.
Some more info...
If you're interested or would like to find out more contact Caroline at friendsofrailwayfields@gmail.com or leave a comment below and I'll get in touch.

Yes, I could do some butterfly spotting. I'm fairly flexible about when I can do it. I know the common butterflies at least.
Brilliant, thanks Peter - I'll email you direct to discuss.
Hello - just following up my email with this, to say that I am also up for it, and I am also called Peter. I could do Mondays, early afternoon. piechovod@hotmail.com
