Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I've heard some shocking stories of people having to flee for their lives, just grabbing their kids and running out in their nightclothes taking nothing. Does anyone know what is being done for these poor people, or if a fund has been set up to help them?

Until half eleven is great as I cannot join Andy's delivery by 6pm today and I don't dare to go up to Tottenham on my own yet. Will try to rent a streetcar for tonight then and take it to the shop if you're open that long. Have spread the word to neighbours as well. Good to see the collaboration these days. Makes me feel better.

I took some stuff this morning, and they were particularly pleased about the toiletries, children's books (thank you Big Green Books for helping!) and bottled water, though also very happy to take the clothes we had sorted out. I took some packets of new underwear as well.
Brilliant - keep it coming - keep spreading the word.
I'm taking a TV/freeview box down in 5 mins so I hope they are, will let you know

I dropped off some stuff at the gardens this morning had a very good chat with Andy.

Thanks again Andy for co-ordinating this and for taking all the donations along.

Also - thank you Hugh for all the tweets and updates. I'm especially proud to be part of this community this week. JBx

On my way back now. They happily took receipt of the TV.

Thanks for all of this information.  Good excuse for a clear out of the things the children have outgrown that I would have taken to the charity shop or given to friends.  The high needs list also very useful, will go through the cupboards and get unopened bits and pieces.  So glad Budgens have a collection point, as another non-driver.  Well done them.

Love it when a community comes together.

Latest from the centre is that they just asking for toiletries and baby items having received plenty of other stuff.
Great, just got quite a bit of baby items at Boots to take it up to Thornton's tonight :)

Hi Hugh

I have some adult clothes to donatem, an ironing board, iron and small folding table. Are these needed

Also is this the leisure centre at the top of Philip Lane?

Lots of question to HoL about donations on Twitter keeping me busy!

Latest from Tottenham Assistance Ctr - Open to 20:00 tonight. Reassessment at 19:00 adds household & kitchen items to list of things needed

Have a huge stack of toiletries ready to donate, but sadly my work want me in the centre of town more or less 24/7 at the moment. Is sending donations through the post acceptable? Will they get there in time to be of any use if I post them today? thanks all.
