Burglary in Tottenham

My parents were burgled yesterday. The glass porch door was somehow lifted off it's hinges and the main door kicked in. The TV, and jewellery collection going back over 60 years were stolen. The tv was huge so I'm guessing two people and van/large car were involved.
It's been said countless times, please lock up everything when you leave your house. Put in bolts that go into the door frame to make it harder for it to be kicked in; deadlock the front door to make it more difficult for thieves to get out of your property with large items should they get in.

Sorry to hear about this - I think someone else from Tottenham posted something similar a few weeks ago - maybe its the same crew it sounds similar. Just to add when possible bring your wheelie bins back in - we also live in Tottenham and were burgled just after we moved in - our bins had been collected that day and they used our wheelie bin to climb over our rather large back fence!!

Really sorry to hear this. What a sad thing to happen and what a shame we have to do this. I'll continue to double lock my door...

The free home-security checks offered by the police are good for this (if they still offer them?). They're obviously up to date with all the latest techniques used by burglars so can advise well on preventative measures. You used to be able to just ring up and book an appointment for an officer to visit your property
