Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This Sunday Bleecker St. Burger will be debuting at Harringay Market! Not only do they make some of the best burgers in town, they also do amazing fries (normal and sweet potato) and veggie burgers for the hippies (like me!)

James: You spelt 'Bleecker' wrong. Twice. If you did actually live on Bleeker Street, well.....hmmm, okaaaaay then....

Angela: Why American cheese? Because Bleecker Burger make American style burgers! They're called Bleecker Burger!! And run by an American lady!!! And because American cheese tastes great in a burger! Also, if you had researched Bleecker before posting you would know that they use other cheeses apart from American cheese in their burgers.

With regards to your comment about locally sourced produce - Harringay has never promised locally sourced food. It's very, very, difficult to do so in London. If all food traders had to use locally sourced foods there would be very few food markets in London. Or anywhere else.

Reading the responses to Hannah's post actually moved me to create my own Harringay Online account! Just to say - by gum, there are a lot of whingers on Harringay Online! Hannah wrote a positive post promoting the fact that there will be a great burger stall coming to Harringay Market this Sunday. Burgers were very popular at the market and there hasn't been a traditional American burger stall for months. Perhaps Hannah thought some of the people who LIKE burgers might LIKE to see this post.

If you don't like burgers, this post obviously isn't for you! But how nice it would be if you didn't feel the need to piss your negativity all over it before leaving.

Have a lovely evening.

RE: "Burgers were very popular at the market" - hadn't been to Harringay Market for ages and was dissapointed last time I went that BurgerBear wasn't there any more, so looking forward to trying a Bleecker Burger.

People have different opinions. If Hannah can come on here and say she likes them, why can't others come on to say they don't ?

She didn't say she liked them. She's a veggie, she's never eaten one! Her post wasn't about opinion. It was about letting people know that they would be at the market.

"  Not only do they make some of the best burgers in town....... "

Sounds like a recommendation to me.

But, if she's never eaten one, how can she say that ?

As you can see, a lot of people think that Bleecker make very good burgers. But in her future posts I'm sure that Hannah will provide a qualifying statement! :)

Gah. Although I don't know WHY I have to, I suppose I should defend myself since I'm being spoken about. I can say that because THEY HAVE WON AWARDS for their burgers. MANY awards. Is that good enough?

I would like to point out, my post was a heads up to all the people who used to come to the market specifically for burgers - it wasn't for the people who don't like burgers, don't like American cheese, don't like the market etc. I don't know why some people always find it necessary to slag things off all the time on here. If you don't like burgers, don't like American cheese, don't like the market, please move along and look at another thread. Why say something negative just for the sake of it? I simply do not understand that mentality.

Calm down i like burgers i was only giving a description of my kind of burger, the way i like them, like bleecker burger. Sorry for my dislexia. I lived on Bleecker street, new york

What a lot of grumpies! It's grand to see burgers back at the market - and in the meantime, Liz swears by the homemade burgers at Shamata on Green Lanes. (Grief, this is giving me burgerlust).
