Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Building work at the Arena going on this evening!!
Almost 11.30 p.m and there are loud metallic hammering noises going on at the Arena, which if I can hear it this clearly, must be bothering people in a very wide area around. It was going on earlier when I walked past, and appears to be in the empty unit that TKMaxx intends to use - I thought they had not yet got planning permission, but they seem to be going ahead anyway, as usual with these schemes.
This is truly antisocial!!!

I'm impressed with Haringey Council out-of-hours Noise officers! I rang them at 11.30p.m , as had two other people, though the noise had just stopped by then. A nice man rang back within ten minutes to say he would visit the site and speak to the foreman today as it was unacceptable. Now if we could only get the planning department to respond so swiftly...
