I have recently moved to the ladder and am on the hunt for a company/builder who can enlarge an existing back door and supply and fit bifold or french doors. Ideally taking care of all the whole lot structural drawing, sourcing the door, planning??
I have contacted a few people but am finding the job seems to be too big for some small scale builders and too small for larger companies that do full on extensions.
Im sure lots of people have had this done so any top tips would be much appreciated.
Cheers

I can't say about the builders but for the doors themselves I'd recommend

They did mine and have generally been very happy.
You're welcome to come and have a look and I can talk you through the general procedure.
Gavin Hunt is a local builder and he did ours but we organised the structural survey and sourced the bifold doors ourselves.
Dear Matt,
I can recommend Pyramid Profiles. They do aluminium bifolding doors in different colours at a very competetive price. I have a set myself and they are warm, and secure.
Be aware in any even that the supplier takes into account the access dimensions. If they are supplying a ready made frame, this will be a consideration.
Also, I would not go for timber bi folds. They look great, but even hardwood doors can warp over time, then you have problems. Go for the aluminium, more reliable.
