Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Congratulations!

Today's featured article on Wikipedia is: Yes, you guessed it! - Bruce Castle

Not quite Harringay, but still worth mentioning, because it brings the LB Haringey into the worldwide spotlight - even if it is only for one day.

Good to see Bruce Castle featured on Wikipedia. It brings childhood memories flooding back as I used to climb the huge oak in the middle of the park. I was very pleased to read that this 500 year old tree is being protected and looked after now.

There also used to be quite a few of us that would go along to Bruce Castle on that fateful night in November (can't remember what date) to see the ghostly figure of the lady who jumped off of the parapet. I can honestly say I never actually saw her myself, and I was always secretly glad I didn't!

It was also a bit spooky poking around the tower/dovecote, it was always locked but we could see through the little slits in the brick work.
