This is a high quality machine and although it is quite old but way better that many new modern expensive machines. It has lots of metal rather than plastic parts so is quite heavy. 

 It works well and produces a great range of stitches and sewing techniques

The instruction book is really easy to understand as it laid out for the complete beginner to sewing.. It gives very clear instructions and shows how to create lots of sewing effects. There is also an easy HOW TO THREAD Diagram on the lid of the accessories compartment. There are also lots on videos on You Tube showing how to use this model. It has a hard plastic case in which the book is stored in the side of this (You can see this in the photographs).

 The only thing on the machine that cant be adjusted is the dial to adjust the tightness of  button hole stitch if it ever needs adjusting.  See picture with dial 5.  It currently makes a good button hole so doesn't need adjusting.
