Only fair to say that, in view of the adverse publicity that that country receives, the cost of her care and rehabilitation is apparently being met by Pakistan.

A relation who recently worked as a surgeon with MSF near the tribal areas, adjacent to the AFPAK border, observed at close quarters the way in which women are treated. He was shocked. It is not that women are widely treated as second-class citizens. It is, that they are treated as chattels.
