We tried this out last night as fancied something different to the usual Turkish offer on Green Lanes. It didn’t disappoint. We opted for the chicken and beef stews with classic Romanian dumplings and oven roasted potatoes. A Large basket of warm bread was given too. Wines from Eastern Europe are very under rated. The house red was unusually sweet and probably better chilled (only £4.50/ glass). We opted for a Romanian cab sauv instead which was amazing and only £20. Total cost just £22 each including service. The owner and chef are extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has a very homely feel, nice and warm with Romanian music and videos playing on a big TV screen which adds to the charm. Check it out!

I tried it a few years ago. It was good then too. I'm glad that they survived the pandemic.
The Polish on West Green Road (Autograf) is also consistently good if you like Eastern European fare. Or for Carpathian Polish try Folkhouse in Westbury Ave.
