Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone tell me how I would find out about getting the box junction at hermitage  and green lanes

changed to include both halfs of the junction.

At present when there is heavy traffic it causes issues because can can sit in the northbound lanes across the junction and it means that cars coming out of hermitage can't clear the southbound lane when they are trying to head north and this can often stop all the traffic heading south.

I'm not sure where to start, but I think it could certainly do with being reviewed.

Good catch Anne - more on this here.

I'd have a word with one of your local councillors. You're Seven Sisters Ward so your councillors include the Leader of the Council and the cabinet member for finance.

There was a similar issue with the yellow box junction which used to be outside Wood Green Bus Garage. As well as covering the entire road, it was probably unlawful because there wasn't actually a road junction.

Now of interest only to Parkaeologists

Maybe it's just some KEEP CLEAR road markings that are needed.

After living here since 2007 you get used to avoiding green lanes at certain times but when that's not possible and you do have to venture out in the car, it's tedious when you have to wait for 2 or 3 complete changes of the lights before you can get across and I hate being the self centred git who just sits across the southbound lanes and waits, but sometimes there's no alternative.

I'll chase my councillor and see what the possibilities are.
