Bowler hat needed
A lady friend of mine is being awarded her British Citizenship later this month. I thought it would make a nice souvenir if I took her picture wearing a bowler and carrying a tightly-rolled umbrella. Does anyone have a bowler they could lend ?

Our previous window cleaner, Brendan, always sported a bowler hat. Unfortunately he emigrated to the States on the Jehovah's Witness mission. He took the bowler hat with him. My windows have never been the same since.
My mother-in-law was awarded British Citizenship a few years ago in the dowdy hall of the Civic Centre. Imagine her confusion when, instead of curtseying to her Britannic Majesty, she was forced (on my advice) to kick the shins of the then awarding Mayor, that foul-mouthed female Peacock of the East.
