Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Thank you Boris for at last proving the point I've trying to make for quite a long time..

The BBC and others are reporting that Bus fares are to rise by 12.7% in 2010..
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/8307698.stm

Tube fares by 3.9% and that the cost of a seven-day bus pass will rise from £13.80 to £16.60.

The BBC also reports that:

Work to upgrade one of the Tube's busiest stations - Victoria - will not now be completed until 2018 and there will be some limited bus service reductions and minor reductions in service on some parts of the Tube.
TfL said that Mr Johnson was still "minded" to scrap the western extension to the congestion charge zone and that he would be making a final decision next spring.

This most probably means that the bendy-buses will be replaced on a one-for-one basis, giving less capacity over the whole route, rather than upping the service (amount of D/D buses allocated), to keep the capacity the same. Tory transport policy at work.

And no doubt that any chance of getting a W1ghtman Road bus anytime in the near future has also become more unlikely ..
