Boris at Budgens

Boris visited Food from the Sky on the roof of Budgens Crouch End this morning to celebrate the 1000th Capital Growth site opening. Together with his ‘Food Tsar’ Rosie Boycott, Boris got to see every aspect of the project . He chatted with students from Highgate Wood School who are setting up a mushroom growing enterprise project, then helped some volunteers with potting seedlings.

Food form the Sky is a Permaculture community garden growing food on the roof of Budgens Crouch End to sell in the supermarket below while providing a learning and educational space for the different part of the communities. Budgens is the first Supermarket in the world to grow food on its roof.
