Blog posts about the 'hood and local walks and places to visit

Over the past few days one of Alison P's blogs about a local walk from last spring was rediscovered.

That set me on a quick flick though the blogs we have and I realsied we're starting to get a nice repository of blogs with good tales to tell of the 'hood or hereabouts and walks or places to visit that are within striking distance.

So, I wanted to do two things:

1. to make them easier to find

2. to encourage more folks to ass this type of stuff, adding photos & video where they will.

The first I've done by tagging all the current blogs (as opposed to forum posts) that fit the bill:

We'd love to widen our pool of local bloggers. How about it?

We'd particularly welcome blogs about Harringay or neighbouring areas. It's great if they tell a story about an aspect of the locality you're focussing on, in whatever way you want - text, images, video, audio - you decide.

We now have even a Like button for blogs. You can show appreciation for other people's blogs by clicking that button.

And on top of that nice warm glow of posting a nice post, it doesn't hurt to big up the good stuff in the area. People are increasingly looking at HoL to find out about Harringay - whether that's just idle curiosity or part of a house hunting process.
