You haven't tried caustic soda. It works every time and costs about £2.99 from any hardware shop.

LIDO next to yasar halim have a range of chemical acids for drains... have worked every time with me. You could give them a try... nothing like what you get in the supermarkets much more powerful.

undo the waste trap and clean out the gunk that the drain cleaner can't dissolve,.

I would also undo the combined waste overflow as well and unblock this pipe.  Happened to me before - if this is blocked it will make your waste water go down really slowly - bubbles coming back up, etc.

Why not try doing it yourself?  There's loads of great and easy step by step stuff on YouTube on how to unblock your sink and overflow, you'll be amazed how easy it is and well chuffed after you fix it yourself.

Might be worth trying this extremely cheap item. My bath was blocked and I couldn't clear with chemicals or snakes but this worked. You'll need a friend to hold something over the overflow so the air can't get out.

It might be something further along the system, especially if you live in a block of flats.
