Out of the mealy mouthed statements from our much disrespected political class one thing is becoming worryingly clear; Ed Milibean has stated unequivocally that he will not do any deal with the SNP to form a government. The Tories have no such party with which to align; it doesn't look like UKIP will have enough seats, nor the DUP. Is Ed angling for a National Government? Both the Tories and Labour are pro-austerity, pro Israel, pro privatisation, pro PFI, have no difficulty agreeing on foreign policy, are relaxed about free schools, and don't plan to massively expand council house building. Yes in the long term it will add to the view that the Labour Party is in terminal decline, possibly to be replaced by the Greens in coalition with the Left, a la Syriza, but in the short term it opens up a rather bleak vista.....

Syriza ?? Not much hope there.. A group of pipe dreamers with good intentions, but no idea on how to implement them.. in coalition with a neo-nazi party.. Yes, such anti-Israel parties are really what are needed in Britain - *irony*
Varoufakis was demoted today by Tsipras.. but the BBC in it's wisdom has not yet (21:10 CEST) reported it on it's Europe website.. http://www.sueddeutsche.de/wirtschaft/griechenland-tsipras-duepiert...
