Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi - we're looking for a person in the local area who has knowledge about birds as we'd like someone to lead a 'bird walk and talk' at some point at Railway Fields Nature Reserve.  I looked on the RSPB website; there doesn't seem to be a local rspb group. Also looked at the Alexandra Park ornithology group but the email address on there bounced.
Can someone point us in the right direction?
Come along to our Butterflies & Bees day on 28 July and we can have a chat or just send us a message here.
Many thanks! We love love love birds.

friends of ally pally park do one about twice or three times a year, they are on twitter if you want to find them

Thanks Jo that's helpful. We will tweet to find the bird watcher!

Friends of Alexandra Park do have a guy that does Bird Walks (Andrew Gardner), but he is not local and just comes down to lead the walk. Friends of Queens Park have a guy who leads walks (also not local), but he (David Darrell‐Lambert) is paid so is willing to come in.

Friends of the Parkland Walk had Richard Meyers, former Islington Wildlife Conservation Officer to lead their recent Dawn Chorus Walk http://www.parkland-walk.org.uk/index.php/recent-events.html

Nearest RSPB local groups are Enfield http://www.rspb.org.uk/groups/enfield  dorandnor@tiscali.co.uk

North East London http://www.rspb.org.uk/groups/northeastlondon  NelondonRSPB@yahoo.co.uk

North West London http://www.rspb.org.uk/groups/nwlondon  bobhusband@hotmail.co.uk

There is also a local birding magazine based in Wood Green called BirdWatch the editor is Dominic Mitchell who might be able to help find someone..http://www.dominicmitchell.com/#/about/4532400708

Thanks very much Steve, just what I needed
