Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We had four bikes stolen from outside our flat in late August, the bank holiday weekend. 2 adult bikes, a Salsa Casserol, a silver Marin and my girls bikes, 2 white ridgeback destinys. they were chained up with good quality locks. we reported to the police and were given a crime reference number. we were advicedto keep checking www.bikeshd.co.uk, an excellent site which consolodites all bikes for sale sites in one. Amazingly one of the bikes has turned up on the site this week but not yet been retrieved, so there is hope. i just wanted to pass this info on, there is apparantly a bike theft epidemic in haringey at the moment. its horrible having your bike nicked.

Thanks for the tip FPR. My partner has one, They are great bikes. It will be a long time before I can afford another bike though after the theft. Just wanted to alert cyclists and pass on the website.

Just to add, I've found out that one of my neighbours had their bike pinched from outside our house in Quernmore Road last week. The thief cut through the metal railing to which the bike was attached. I'll pass this on.
