Another gun attack, another life lost.
3 murders this year in close proximity. Is there actually a plan? Or are the council / police / government happy to “let the bodies pile high.”
David Lammy said some time ago that he had a vision for Turnpike Lane. Perhaps this is it ?
Looks like this may have just been outside Lammy's manor, but I can't think of what they can do to Turnpike Lane, it's not that bad a place but just seems to attract drug-dealing.
There always a lot of young men sitting around in flash & expensive cars at the Tube station end of Willoughby Road evenings and weekends. It doesn't take much imagination to realise what's going on and I'm surprised at the lack of obvious police surveillance of that area.
It attracts drug dealing because people go into the area to buy drugs. You want a plan to cut down on violence - spend a week arresting and prosecuting those that buy. You’ll crush demand and remove the desire to supply.
I wonder if the police use this as a 'flypaper' zone.
No - they just try and ignore it. They are useless. They pitch up occasionally when the locals complain but they aren’t serious.
And the net result is more death.
Terrible sad and frightening.
Why does the police tag us a East?
Meanwhile people complain about stop and search.
