Betting shop on Fortis Green Road where the bookshop is now

Hi all,

I am trying to dig into the history of the building now occupied by the Muswell Hill Bookshop.

Apparently 70 - 72 Fortis Green was once two separate premises, and there is a planning application extant dated 1963, granting permission to turn 72 into a betting office, and erect an illuminate sign etc. 

Does anyone remember anything about the betting shop, or any other businesses which operated out the premises before the bookshop?
