Barratts Sweets

I have just read a artical that tangerine confectionery owners of the Barratts sweet brand are replacing barratts brand name with the name candy-land candy. Barratts sweets was a favorite with kids of all ages even us grown up kids for over 120 years.Barratts was a household name and an icon in  wood green and surrounding areas,it gave employment to 1000s of people for over 100 years,it even gave accommodation to many family's as barratts owned many houses in wood green and rented them to employees.It is just sad that another British brand is going to disappear  to make way for another american brand. If anybody feels the same way i do let tangerine know and give them a big thumbs down. PS I was privileged  to have worked for barratts in the 60s as a lorry driver it was the best job i have had
