Latest News 25 October 2017
The Barking - Gospel Oak rail service was restored on weekdays from Monday 23 October and will operate until Friday 17 November inclusive. The May 2017 timetable still applies when trains are running. During weekends trains will operate until around 18:45 on Saturdays, except on 11 November when no trains will run. On Sundays trains will start after 15:30. A further 8-week closure will follow from 18:30 on Saturday 18 November until 14 January. These closures are to allow Network Rail to complete the electrification works started in late 2015. Some electric freight services are expected to be able to start running by Spring 2018, with new 4-carriage electric trains following on within a month or two.
