The line closes at 18:30 tomorrow, Saturday 18 November and reopens on Monday 15 January. The bulk of the electrification work ought to be finished by then, but the raising of the bridge over the railway at Crouch Hill is expected to continue until July, so some weekend rail closures are still likely, probably at Easter ot late Spring bank holiday weekends.
Details of the closure here: barking-gospeloak.org.uk/documents/rrbs.pdf
Attached is a recent photo of the first of the new 4-carriage electric trains on the test track at Bombardier's Derby carriage works.
