Hypothetically... if someone where to set up a barefoot bowls afternoon at one of the local bowls clubs next summer would people be interested in spending a few pounds to play?
'Barefoot bowls' is the same as ordinary bowls but much more relaxed (ie. shorts and t-shirt, beers/wines/Magners during play and perhaps a nice BBQ along with some informal lessons/tips from more experienced players). It's a great way to spend a summer afternoon/evening.
It's reasonably common (in both senses) in Australia and its trans-Tasman colony with trendy urban types and, despite the obvious weather risk, I think it could work here too. What do you think? Would you fork out a tenner or so for a game, a quick lesson, a drink and a gourmet sausage/vege option?
