Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

UPDATE: Baking Competition SUSPENDED at Harringay Village Fete this Saturday

UPDATE: We will still be gathering on Saturday 10 September, but without the bounce and party atmosphere, following the death of her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Come along between 12-4pm for some curry goat, barbecue food, ice cream and cake, and a chance to light a candle and share memories of her reign. The baking competitions and raffle have been cancelled.

We look forward to a Coronation Fete in due course.

Bakers of Harringay: ready, set... bake!

This Saturday sees our Harringay Village Fete, bringing a slice of English village tradition to the Ladder. If you'd like to enter a bake please drop it off at St Paul's Church before 3pm. Judging will happen shortly afterwards, when we will award local kudos and high esteem.

You may enter either competition:

  • Best Amateur Sourdough Loaf (any bread; no artificial yeast allowed)
  • Best 2022-themed Bake (based on anything to do with the year 2022. This will be judged in age categories 0-7, 8-11, 12-17, 18+)

Entrance is free. If you're more of a 'Nah' Baker than a Star Baker you're welcome to stop by and enjoy a little of English country village spirit on the Harringay Ladder. There may even be some baking leftover.
