We are planning another Awareness Event outside the Lordship Tue eve next week 1st July – to update on the campaign - give out letters, spread the word about DEADLINE FOR further OBJECTIONS, EVIDENCE and COMMENTS to Haringey Council Licensing Office by 8th July. Tue eve 1st July 8pm. An hour outside The Lordship 606 Lordship Lane, N22 5JH, giving out letters, talking to people – making up a crowd.

The last event we did earlier in June, people really appreciated it and it created a real buzz. A lot of people don’t know what the betting shops are trying to do to our communities! So come and help spread awareness. It will be your neighbourhood next!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PADDY POWER

A WHILE BACK, FOLLOWING RESIDENTS OBJECTIONS, HARINGEY COUNCIL REFUSED PADDY POWER’S APPLICATION TO SET UP A BETTING SHOP ON THE SITE OF THE FORMER PUB THE LORDSHIP, 606 LORDSHIP LANE N22 5JH.

PADDY POWER HAS NOW LODGED AN APPEAL AGAINST THE COUNCIL’S DECISION. WE ARE CAMPAIGNING TO DEFEND THE REFUSAL OF THE PREMISES LICENCE.

WE BELIEVE:

• A THIRD BETTING SHOP IN THIS PARADE WILL INCREASE ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
• THE PUB IS A COMMUNITY ASSET AND LANDMARK SITE

IF YOU AGREE THEN HELP BY MAKING YOUR OPINION KNOWN TO THE COUNCIL.

• HAVE YOU WITNESSED ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR SUCH AS LITTERING, DRUNKENESS, SPITTING, BEGGING AND PUBLIC URINATION OUTSIDE THE CURRENT BETTING SHOPS?
• HAVE YOU WITNESSED OR BEEN THE VICTIM OF ANY FORM OF HARRASSMENT OUTSIDE THE CURRENT BETTING SHOPS?
